MANCHESTER UNITED IN £30 MILLION MOVES FOR TEENAGE SENSATION

Manchester United have enjoyed a good spell of recent under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.  The Red Devils are currently in the mix for the top four and have a quarterfinal UEFA Champions League tie to look forward to in April.

However, the club are already looking towards strengthening the squad ahead of next season a couple of players have been linked with a move to the club. According to reports from France, Manchester United are interested in signing French defender William Saiba in the summer.

The AS Saint Etienne defender has been one of the breakout stars in the French Ligue 1 this season. it is understood that the French club knows that it would be difficult to keep the player for long due to the interest from some of the top clubs in Europe.

Saiba has been at the French club since he was 15 years old and was trained by the father of French prodigy Kylian Mbappe during his first year at the club. having impressed with the youth ranks at a tender age Saiba was able to force himself into the reckoning for the first team this season.

He has made 11 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season. the 18-year-old is blessed with good height and aerially tough to beat. He is also comfortable on the ball and a good outlet to begin attacks from the defence.

Saint-Etienne are understood to have slapped a €30 million price tag on the player and are also demanding a loan option for next season.

Manchester United have the cash to spend on the player and a loan back option could be good for the defender to develop at the club without pressure before returning to Old Trafford.

It remains to be seen if a deal would be agreed by both parties.
