Saiba has been at the French club since he was 15 years old and was trained by the father of French prodigy Kylian Mbappe during his first year at the club. having impressed with the youth ranks at a tender age Saiba was able to force himself into the reckoning for the first team this season.

He has made 11 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season. the 18-year-old is blessed with good height and aerially tough to beat. He is also comfortable on the ball and a good outlet to begin attacks from the defence.

Saint-Etienne are understood to have slapped a €30 million price tag on the player and are also demanding a loan option for next season.

Manchester United have the cash to spend on the player and a loan back option could be good for the defender to develop at the club without pressure before returning to Old Trafford.

It remains to be seen if a deal would be agreed by both parties.
